This was a good store . There sales are the same as Hannaford and Shaws . The Best Place to go is Aldi . Better prices . Just try this place out .

People love their Market Basket = Always crowded. Well stocked, good variety of goods, fresh vegetables, deli, fish counter, bakery items, narrow selection of wines. Not the most modern or updated, but overall nice store, lot of young employees, feels like family run store.

Very busy ahead of another storm. Well stocked, helpful employees. Buzz around town about the bull dozing of Fox Run Mall, today Sat. 2/21/26 own a piece of the mall at 11-3 and when Sears closed they too gave away fixtures. Rumors of a Costco. Prime Auto space where Key was available. Front end very nice and caps another trip from Dover, tried 4 other stores. Schoolhouse building still stands. Chip aisles split-one regular, one organic. Busy stores have better coverage in aisles and improved rotation, markdowns always welcome savings. I actually found OS Cran 100 % NSA. Overrings happily corrected immediately noticed. Turkey prices, and meat, vary greatly between chains, sometimes between stores, time of year, and market. Savings say on pre made deli salads can save $5.00/lb. and hamburger can be half as much (Hnfrd.) and the priciest (Shws) can have bargains, if you have time to compare. Turkeys frozen were .49 cents/lb. advertised, $ 30. birds were $5-10. each. Store brand corn chips as good as Fritos. In Dover I get Sam Adams 12 pk./ $9.99, S/Y Pumpkin 12 pk. / $7.99 (across from Dominos). Dover Downtown Discount Bev. Smileys has same deal but only $5. Sam Adams BB 6/26. Spring faves. Sam Adams had Blackberry, and Alpine . Leftover Holiday warmer Smutty $8/12 pk. Waiting for summer varieties to rotate out coded BB 9/26. Stragglers beer/coolers always show up Mikes, Bold Rock, Simply.

I have been shopping at MB since birth. Many memories in these stores. If you need it, they have it! Locally owned & operated and famous for its multi-generational business that started from nothing. This is a very busy Market Basket... and for good reason. The store is well-stocked, the staff are friendly and helpful (even those stocking the shelves, who may not speak much English), and the prices are among the best for groceries and everyday household supplies (cleaning, etc.). Reading someone else's critical review, I'm astonished. We've shopped at this Market Basket for over six years - and as recently as yesterday - and we prefer it to competing stores... especially the changes at one chain recently purchased by a Dutch company. While it's always smart to check produce carefully, wherever you shop, we're almost always pleased with the quality and prices of fruits and vegetables at this store. In fact, this Market Basket's quality tends to be better - and more affordable - than at competing stores. (During icy winters and sweltering summers, produce can be affected in transit. That said, Market Basket remains one of the best options for all of our groceries.) What we especially like are the Market Basket brand products. Their donuts are delicious, and far more filling than donuts we could buy at competing stores. And - oh my! - the Market Basket brand of chocolate bars, displayed near the cash registers...! They are delicious and a great value. Every visit to this Market Basket has been a pleasant experience. We recommend it.
